Warkworth Agency Declares Official Rebranding of 'TBD' to 'Strategic Ambiguity'

In a bold move hailed by neither clients nor common sense, boutique marketing agency Moss & Conifer has officially rebranded the term 'TBD' to 'Strategic Ambiguity', claiming it's a visionary approach to project planning.

At a press breakfast in a Warkworth café known for its pistachio-based everything, agency co-founder Brendan Foss outlined their reasoning. 'In a world thirsty for certainty, we deliver premium doubt,' Foss said, standing in front of a whiteboard scrawled with a single post-it: “Q3 – ???” He added, 'Ambiguity isn't a gap, it's a vibe.'

The initiative includes a 19-page manifesto in 8pt Helvetica, a Spotify playlist titled "Pending", and a branded tote bag that simply reads ‘Eventually’. Moss & Conifer has also retroactively applied Strategic Ambiguity to all previous roadmaps, timelines, and client feedback. Credit control has reportedly adopted the philosophy as well, with invoices marked “Due at Some Point, Be Cool.”

When asked if this tactic was just a rebranded way to avoid decision-making, Moss & Conifer’s strategy director, who only goes by her Slack handle (@vision_barnowl), replied, 'We prefer to see it as leaving space for the universe to ideate.' Clients reportedly responded to the news with a mixture of confusion and begrudging respect. One said, 'It’s either genius or a total accident. Honestly, same difference.'
